Hiking is a great activity because you get to head out away from the city and enjoy nature. Most bookstores have guidebooks that can help you find a few trails that you can try out. There are thousands of trails out there, so pick one and get started.
What are some of the hazards of hiking? There are many hazards on the hiking trail. You could encounter good weather or it could turn colder suddenly, or you could get rained on. In some areas, you may encounter snakes or dangerous animals. You may have to battle insects on your hike. You may encounter waterfalls, cliffs, or rivers. Suppose you slip on a rock, and fall in the river. As you can see, there are many hazards on the hiking trail. The most important thing is to be prepared for the unexpected so you can protect yourself and avoid injury.
